when I get home tonight, I can send you mp3tag (2.48) that was converted as a mac app with wine.
worked fine for me, but now I use Parallels to use a few PC apps on my mac.

So if you hit command+i, change whatever you want and hit okay it duplicates the file? I know it will duplicate files when importing if you have that option checked in preferences, but I've never heard of it duplicating the file when you change the tags.

The file is around 30mb, which is a lot larger than the PC app, because it has been bottled as a Mac app using Wine. I did not create this myself, a friend sent it to me and it worked perfectly. (at the time, it was a godsend)
I was used to using Mp3Tag back in my PC days, as this is probably the best app for batch ID3 updates and tagging.
