    Default DJM800 or XONE62

    So here is the deal,

    I just got an offer for trade;
    My djm 800 for a xone 62 + 4000kr (600 dollars approx).

Pros and cons of the mixers are,

    xone
    +sound quality
+silver design (match my cdj 850's)
    +filters
    +i cash in 600 dollars

    Djm
    Effects
I am quite fond of some particular effectcombos with the color effects.
Can buy a second hand efx and hook it up for delay and echo.. will set me back 150 dollars.

I like to mix deep house, tech house and. Don't scratch. Play commercial and remixes too, pop and hiphop but not often for myself at home. Then i prefer other genres.

    Any input/comments are welcome,

    /martin

once you have an XONE mixer, you never look back (hard to believe i know ). DJM is fine feature wise, but nothing any decent DJ software can't provide. If you play on CD/vinyl and like to add some spices in the mix, then the DJM800 is probably a "better" option.

What did you originally want to sell the DJM for?

If you need money and still want a mixer it's a pretty decent trade. I still wouldn't want a 62 personally, not a fan of the meters and the studio style faders. If that isn't an issue it's a good mixer. Also depends on if you want a 4 band EQ.

    ^Any reasons why?

I don't mind the 4-eq. Well, the djm 800 sells for like 1200 dollars here in sweden second hand, good condition. Have not seen any other xone 62 second hand but the deal I think is quite ok.
Keep in mind that prices for gear are a bit higher here since we got 25% extra tax to pay.. you can call it a sales tax, it's on everything you buy here.
on food its only 12,5% though

Also the studiofaders are fine for me.
Yeah, the level meters are not really sassy, but hey, its cheap..

mm my thought was that id add an x1 to this perhaps.

I'd just go all out with the 92 tbh. For deep house and tech-house, nothing is better than 4-band eq for seamless transitions, and the layout and build quality are going to be way better than the 62 (and the 62 is still built pretty well). They go for about 900 on ebay if you find a private seller.
