Default Do you introduce yourself as your moniker or your real name?

Just curious to see who does what. I personally introduce myself as Wil to people I'm working with or industry heads and Damien to everyone else. Is that pretty standard? Is there an etiquette behind this?

i am very loose, when i was working at the club everybody just called me "dj" lol.

but like when i am talking to people when i am playing at a party or at the club i just give them my real name or i say xsquizet i really don't put dj in front of it. then my little moniker is posted on all the flyers any way lol so I give em my real name.

Real first name, every time no matter who I'm talking to. I think it's weird to be called by your pseudonym.

I always introduce myself as my real name. I hate it when people call me my DJ name. It feels so weird.

Usually when I'm being introduced the conversation goes something like

Friend: "This is DJ Devil's Advocate"
Me: "I'm Jared. Pleased to meet you."

*shrug* Hell, when I introduce myself I don't tell them I'm a DJ, instead they see it when I'm up there, rocking the fuck out.

I don't even have a DJ name. On flyers I have my full name, and my logo is just my first name (Miyuru).

I use my real name. I used to bill as Daimon some years back but changed it when people started to refer to me as that despite introducing myself as Jason.
These days now though I bill under JasonJ.
I believe that it is a thing of respect to introduce yourself with your real name, and to be referred to as such even if you use a moniker. Unless of course your moniker is a Nickname you have had throughout your life.
