Ok it's 1 o-clock in the morning here in guam and really i dont want to travel through the list of threads to try and find an answer to my question.....I know I suck!!
I bought a rs232 serial port - express card to try and upgrade using serial to serial, but the damn thing aint working. well it came with a connection that looks like an eathernet connect with a serial conection on the other end.
If i plug that in will it work????? I tried to do that but the vci will not go into boot. so If it will work can one of you guys hook me up with some info.
This is driving me insaine.
please please help......with anything.

best thing to do tomii is find a friend that has a pc with a serial port and do it the old school way serial to serial. usb to serial is kool, but I have read about some problems. I still have a usb to serial I got a frys that still in the box.

So the express card that I got that has a serial conection is bogus then?? Is it still serial to usb??? or because of the serial adaptor does it make it s-s

Im sure that the express card will work, but the speed of the info being sent is prob too fast.

K dude. how do I slow it down. im getting the Error No 15024: Boot failed

Are you sure you are selecting the correct com port in the software?

I got this double female serial with a male adapter. I see that this could be the problem.
