Default Should I Get A Akai LPD8 with my Mixtrack Pro?

Okay so I've been wanting a kontrol x1 for a while but i hear that the lpd8 akais are decent and kinda cheap. Is it similar to the kontrol x1? is it worse or better? I'm using traktor and i feel i want to be beat juggling more and using more than 1 effect at a time. no i will ot use it for musi production, only mixing on traktor. i just want something to team up with my mixtrack pro.

Only benefit of the LPD is the pads, the X1 are smaller but they are nicely spaced and you have 20 more buttons to assign.

Personally I'd save for the X1.

i agree, the eight pads on the ldp8 are really nice.

but imnsho, the rest of it is trash. midi-outs/LEDs didn't work as i wanted them to, the potis feel shitty, program change messages aren't compatible with traktor (workarounds exist, though), and i'm not convinced by the 4-bank thingy, either. consequently, i didn't keep my lpd8 for long. while i had it, i functioned as an add-on controller. but i think the x1 would be a much better 2nd controller.

it's midi feedback does have some quirks but can be worked around. i don't like the 4banks either and the pots aren't great.

it's very cheap for what it does, but not in the same league as an X1 as a dj controller. it's great for programming beats tho and i still might buy a 2nd one for that...
