    Default Pioneer DJM 900 w/Technics

Is anyone using the DJM900Nexus? I'm looking into it and may buy one... The beat-by-beat midi signal is interesting - it might finally allow me to sync Ableton Live with the audio from my DVS (DJ Decks w/Serato vinyl) set-up...

    Any experience of the mixer???

The club i play at has one and i really enjoy using it. The effects on it are legit as well. I haven't mapped it with ableton or anything however.

I'm most interested in the beat-by-beat midi signal. If it transmits the midi signal beat-by-beat based on the audio going through the mixer, I could sync the output from DJ Decks (DVS) to Ableton Live and use Live an effects box.

I'd pay £1500 (ish) for that...

(Also - I'd probably get Traktor Scratch 2 if I spashed on the 900 Nexus. Traktor Scratch 2 DVS sync'd to Ableton live? That'll be FUN.)

Ableton Live really sucks at following a midi clock. Any time there's a change, it takes forever to catch up.

Honestly, you're better off beat-matching Live to whatever else you're doing. I gave up on doing it that way a long time ago. Matching Traktor to Live is easy, but then you lose the point of vinyl control.

Yeah I own the DJM900NXS and 2 technices 1200s. As far are using the midi clock with ableton its not that great. If you use it with rekordbox and cdjs it is awesome since it quantises the music.

That had literally nothing to do with what we're talking about.
