    No, they don't stop the tonearm from hitting the spindle…the record label does that, though it damages the needles in the process. I have literally no idea why it would ever come up, though.

    As for the feedback issue…I have never had it happen badly, but I use freefloats or tennis balls whenever I think it might be a problem. It shouldn't have been a problem on the TT-200s, either. I'm guessing you set up your tonearm wrong.
    Mostapha has pretty much nailed it. If i was you i would sell up the CDX's and buy some Techs, doesn't matter what ones you get, longs they are 1210/1200's.

    The feedback issue as Mostapha mentioend can be 'sorted' in a few ways such as the tennis ball trick, the float devices and a proper calibration of the needle is a must.

    If they're in decent shape, yes. That's what I paid for my mk2s.

    m3ds are the same thing but better.

    Just a day later i am a proud owner of a pair of 1200 M3D's, and the DJM T1 comes in the mail tomorrow so whole new setup wahoo!
