It's basically a demo version of Ableton,

Actually the APC version of Ableton is pretty flexible, yes its more limited than the full version but not quite as restricted as regular "Lite" version, you kinda have to be prepared for bouncing tracks sometimes in order to get the sounds u want morso, sometimes being restricted is NOT a bad thing you tend to learn its ins and outs properly and work around the restrictions.

APC40's are Bloody brilliant units BTW I would love to get a Machine as well mind you for production and live set integration, different beasts altogether.
