if your dead set on a back up set up, I'd get an Audio 2 and X1. Or just an Audio 2 and Dj from key board.

I was thinking that but doesn't help if lappy goes down. Would be better than a mix track though I agree.

lol its my typing thats wack there 2000s (facepalm) - and its magnet in liverpool skrillex was there the other day and flux pavillion a few weeks before that , the night i play ats not on this week cuz mr scruffs doing a 5 hour set........ i get a big kick knowing i get to play on the same decks as these people however sad that makes me !

thanks for all the suggestions guys - cd root seems to be the most popular suggestion ,but i feel like one of the the main reason i use tsp is so that i dont have to waste my time burning/writing down keys/searching through wallets , though i could use usb's (but its that thing about never having done it befoe / not wanting to do it on a big system)

Part of the reason i was looking at the mixtrack is because i thought it might be good as something to make a few quick mixes with at home to put up on soundcloud or something .

I do use a x1 while im playing but couldnt really use it on its own with the keyboard cuz i dont really beatgrid my stuff properly (iv been sync free since 2008 :P)

X1 + Audio 2 + DJM 800 > Mixtrack. ALL DAY

then just take a CD or USB with a 1 hour mix, so you can take your time when switching to your back up gear.

but that would aggravate my fobia of not using stuff live i haven't played with to a stupid degree at home .... im only rocking cdj 800mk1s .

You can use the sync button on he x1 if you had to though right, and then just adjust the phase. I got my x1 mapped wicked for two deck mixing with an external mixer with pitch control, fine tweak the bpm on it etc.

I'd say try and speak to the club manager and get in the club during the day and ask em if you can test out just using usb rekordbox / mp3 cd etc and decide for yourself on best back up solution.

Audio 2 and X1 is nice though anyway

I think im masking just wanting something new to play with paranoia about equipment failure reli. I just cant get my head around using a controller without jog wheels ! else id just use my x1 .
