and would those machines be ok for running traktor, I realise that some upgrade of ram would be the order of the day though.

You could run Traktor 3.4 on that iBook . Ive got one and it runs T3 perfectly well.
Dont know about that Company but i know the iBook very well. It served me very well for a few years and was rock solid.
You cant run Traktor Pro on a PPC Mac G4/G5. Only on Intel Macs so you will not be able to use Traktor Pro on an iBook.
You need to Max the Ram. Be aware that some models of the iBook have Ram soldered on and can only be upgraded to 1.25gig Ram which is the bare minimum for good results with Traktor.
A great resource to check any model and how it can be ugraded is here:

Do u think this macbook is woth to buy
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Apple-Laptop-M...4.c0.m14.l1262
I was thinking to get a second hand one ...
That seems ok. Definitely powerful enough. The same thing with a 2.0ghz CPU new would be £799 so quite a saving and a better machine.
Seems pretty good to me. Its nearly 2 years old so it depends on how much its been used. After about 2 years of heavy use the logic board can start to fail although thats with very heavy use. Apple Logic boards are notoriously iffy and cost £600 to replace.
Its a risk with second hand laptops that they can just fuck up anytime.
Get insurance on it and cover your ass. Ive got some Insurance details if your thinking about getting your stuff covered. its cheap and good.
That Mac looks like a good buy if its in good condition and hasnt been hammered.
Now that u told about the logic board I might wait another couple of months, save some more cash and just buy a brand new one in the Apple shop around here...and a least I'll b sure that laptop doesnt fuck up anytime, plus i'll get all the support and stuff from Apple..
