    Default Analog Synth help?

Does anyone have any recommendations on an analog synth? Must support Midi, and price limit is $400. Thanks!

Desktop synth? 400 new? Dave smith Mopho maybe it is fully midi controllable and has a sweet vst but you will want to use an editor to program patches. Really depends what you are looking for if you had a budget around $600 new or used you will have a lot more options

Get a used dave smith desktop evolver. The mopho sounds good but especially for a beginner and its lack of knobs it just sort of ends up being a preset player and not a machine for programming. The desktop mopho was such a drag to program on.

Didn't you say you wanted an analog synth? dx7 is digital FM, I think you really need to do more research and figure out what you're looking for. Dx7 is also a massive pain to program.

Hence why I asked. It's quite cheap and can make some nice sounds, but it's not analog.
