    Default Best Production/DJ controller?

    Hey guys,

I'm a producer using Logic Pro X and i was wondering which Production controller is the best for this DAW. I was looking at a Midi Fighter 3d but I dont know if this is going to be too difficult to map?
    Opinions?
    Many thanks,
    George

Midi fighters have tons of mapping here in the mappings section. Just give it a look and you'll probably find something you'll like.

What do you want to use it for?

The needs for controlling DJ software vs. Production software are kind of completely different. Maschine can do both. It kind of sucks at controlling a DAW (not counting the Maschine software), but it does do MackieControl emulation, which Logic understands.

I was going to use it for mainly mapping effects to the buttons and remixing, but also for mapping to drums and one hits, that's why I thought the midi fighter might be good but I wasn't sure about compatability. Would the mashcine be better?
    Thanks

MIDI fighters don't have any velocity sensitivity where Maschines pads respond according to how hard (or soft) you push them which to me is an important trait in drum programming, drawing in velocity's is not my forte. You can also midi map the buttons/knobs to do whatever suites your project. It's a great piece of kit!

The MF Twister is a great collection of knobs....and that can be handy in a DAW.

Push is nice if you have Live. I know there are mappings for other DAWs, but I've not heard nearly as good of things when mapping Push to other DAWs and DJ software.

Yeah, without Live it's basically a futuristic dinner mat.

With Logic I use a maschine micro for drum parts, an analog mono synth for keyboard parts (ms20 but any keyboard will do) and the logic remote program on the ipad for faders and mixer stuff. If you have an ipad, def get the logic remote it's tight. If I didnt have the maschine or the keyboard, I would probably just get something like this - http://www.sweetwater.com/store/detail/MPKmini2
