Default Practical, Fairly Priced Touch Screen DJ MIDI Controller. The S&M Kontrol KS-1974

I know a lot of us saw the ridiculous 32" and 42" dubbed touch "Monster" from Smithson & Martin But I recently checked back on their website and found the Kontrol 1974. Thoughts on this, looks and sounds fairly practical to me.

$1700 for a touch screen traktor controller? No thanks there's nothing practical about a touch screen DJ mixer. Also apparently the MIDI mapping and interface isn't very advanced for other stuff, not sure why you would buy that when an ipad or two are $500 each and can run more powerful software.

Oh ok I wasn't exactly sure of all its capabilities and downfalls. Not that I would buy a $1700 controller when I could buy a Maschine, F1, and a X1 for less. I thought it would be more powerful than an Ipad though for sure...

I had this thing when it came out. It's complete junk. Not practical, not versatile and not powerful enough. iPad is the only way to go IMO.
