Question a little help with bass guitar tab to midi needed please

hi guys... ive finally ventured into the big scary world of production, and i have a track thats starting to come together quite nicely. however i need a little help.

I have a peice of bass guitar tab or a melody that i want to re-create, however i am no bassist. does anyone here know of how i can convert this to a midi file, or write it as a midi file to drop into ableton and give sound to?

By learning how tabs are written, I guess……hint the letters are strings and the numbers are frets…and frets are a semitone apart.

A semitone apart up or a semitone apart down?

Think about how strings work. Then think about how sound waves look. There's a relationship.
