Hey all,
How do you do this effect? (1 min 17s - 1 min 21s)

Anyone have an idea of how to map this out? It'd be much appreciated!

My stuff: VCI-100 SE (DJ TT Edition) (1.4 Firmware), Audio 8 DJ, MacBook Pro 15'' i5 8GB RAM, (2x) Technics 1210 MK2, Frosted Plates, KORG nanoKONTROL 2 (Custom Mapping for Sample Decks - link), Rane TTM-56S, Maschine MK2
Thats just a Turntable FX.

Not exactly, the djm 909 has a pitch effect that can be mapped to the fader....thats why its speeding up as he increases the fader and then drops way out when he cuts it.
Maybe theres another effect that I'm missing in there
Oh my apologies then with a little experimentation I created a very similar effect with the TTFX. Sounds VERY similar, didn't realize it was a hardware specific FX.

Thanks all. Anyone have an idea of how to possibly map this to a fader on a midi controller? It sounds like it's adjusting key... anything else?

You could try the transpose effect along with the ttx effect and get something, the transpose should change the tempo like in the video....don't know how you map it to the fader though....well i know how but it would take alot of work and I don't think it would be worth it on the s4.
Thanks Rukkus, I'll give it a try. I think the fader mapping to the transpose would make it easier to imitate the effect he does (instead of using a knob)
I was watching this video aswell:

Any idea what he is pressing at 4min 53 sec to slow the tempo / lower pitch? It doesnt look like he has a button there and he definitely didn't stop the deck.
Ideas?
Edit: Also, is the effect that begins around 9:13 another turntable FX??

4:53 - He changes his deck speed from 45 RPM to 33 RPM....which will change pitch and speed of sample
9:13 - He turns the the platter off
These are old turntablist tricks. You can try to emulate the sound, but using a turntable is the easiest way.
