    Default Question/help?

    Hi all,

I've been using logic pro 9 i have a few track i've made so far but i wanted to know how or what i can do to get a less electronic sound or more raw/warm sound out of my drums and overall track. My tracks are more dub techno/deep house i was thinking some filtering but i was hoping someone can point me in the right direction.

Maybe you can upload a preview or something so people would have something to hear to give suggestions.

Find better samples would be my first suggestion. Plus a little tape saturation goes along way as well

Also add some shuffle to your drums, get things of strict quantize...

Will help to liven up your productions.

Think he was talking more about the actual sound vs the groove

Putting the snare just before the kick drum and not straight on top will change the sound completely... have you tried it?

Si si, I have and know what you're saying, but adding that shuffle/swing would change the initial groove he already has. On that note, maybe he could try working on his mixdown and EQing better to give stuff more space.
