Default Itunes alternative with traktor integration?

So, with the recent article bringing up the topic about handling/organizing music properly i asked myself the question:

Is there any other efficient way than to use (the sometimes instable) itunes?

as far as i know traktor only reads the library.xml file from itunes. Is there any way to create/manipulate this DB with other software with similar capabilities, but optimized for larger collections?

would love to hear some creative solutions!

I was just wondering the same thing, since I don't use an ipod/iphone anymore (got an htc) I have been thinking about searching for a better alternative.

I use both MediaMonkey and Itunes

I use Mediamonkey to organize and tag all my songs to how i want them and with Mediamonkey if u tag everything properly then you can have it so it will move all your files by the tags keeping your library super organized inside itunes/mediamonkey and in your folders.

But then i use the Itunes to make smart playlists based on tags

I dont care if you use 2 ipads...2 cassette tapes...or a washboard and a wooden spoon...if you rock it, you rock it.

I would love an alternative to iTunes. I do most of my work on a PC, and iTunes just doesn't work as good on a PC as it does a Mac.
