Default Is there a major difference between TSP interfaces???

The newer TSP interfaces A6 & A10 and the older Audio 4 and 8... I mean besides the I/O's is there a difference in function, sound quality or performance?

Pretty sure the only real difference is #I/Os

The new ones have newer DAC and ADCs, AFAIK. Plus the 'direct thru' mode, so you can pass normal signals straight through them without multicores. The Audio6 needs to be plugged in to use the 'direct thru' mode, and the Audio10 needs to be plugged in at all times. The Audio4/10 do not.

Direct through mode is the biggest diference in my opinion.

The A10 also has 4 phono inputs; the A8 only had 2.

    That's a big difference.

Does the A6 have 2 or 3 phono channels? I'm seriously considering the A6 package when I have the money/space for a 3rd turntable, but if it only has 2 phono inputs, that alone would keep me on SSL.

Frankly, I think multicores are a lot more convenient (on any mixer other than the DB2/DB4) than direct thru modes. I use the direct out on my SL1, and I'm not 100% sure where it is (kind of an exaggeration)…just flip the transform switch when I want to switch b/t vinyl and DVS. Way easier than putting the sound card somewhere I can reach it or touching the computer.

The A6 has 2 phono pre-amps. The 3rd input is ostensibly for the loop recorder.

A6 needs power for direct thru but that can be supplied using anything which can supply USB power, it does not actually NEED a power supply unlike the A10.

I use the A6's 3rd IO for recording my mix from the mixer and playing samples.

You can map a button to switch modes.

Fuck multicores, big ass heavy shits compared to regular phono cable
