I think this is the best way. I don't want to upload other peoples mappings without their permission.

i just wanted to add something here...the people who are uploading edits of originals should really be encouraged by admins/moderators to include some kind of change log... just calling something an edit isn't very helpful

Yes, I've noticed a few mappings that have exactly the same description of the original mapping. I'm not sure if it's just people testing the site, or if they are genuine mappings. When a user creates an "edit" they are presented with the form to edit the description and a form to add their release notes. I can add a message to those forms to encourage the description and release notes to be edited.

Can we get an image for the APC40? Maybe this one will do.

Any chance we can upload our manuals for our mappings to the Maps page as well? IDK about everyone else, but i see alot of guys with fairly lengthly PDF files. Or maybe even just make it possible for the user to view multiple images?

What people are doing at the moment is putting their mapping file and PDF in a zip file then uploading that. You can put a quick description on the mapping page but they download the PDF with the mapping file.
