    Default Speakers...

Hey guys, so 4 months ago I purchased my speakers. http://www.licht-geluid.nl/shop/p-97...o-pxi-15p.aspx Anyway the sound isn't nice, and lacks alot of bass.

I'm wondering what would be the best route of action. Would it sound good if I added a sub (budget is 400...) or would it be best if I sold these, and got something else like KRK's?

It doesn't have to go reaaally loud or something, the quality has to be good. I spin alot of techno, and bass driven music, so any input would be appreciated

Do they at least sound good if you turn the bass down? If so, a sub would compliment them nicely.

Add a subwoofer. If you want a decent one, you'll need more than a budget of 400 though.

Check out Bill's designs if you haven't before. If you have a little bit of woodworking skills, you can build yourself some nice horn loaded subs for not alot of money.

Are you using them at home?

PA speakers generally suck at low volumes.

I'd say invest in a decent amp and hi fi speakers OR some powered studio moinitors and a sub...(eg. Truths, KRK, JBL etc.)

You'll never get the best out of speakers like that in your house, adding a sub will just make it even more overkill.

Well all of the three I've listed have a sub that goes with them..

    The KRKs - http://www.krksys.com/krk-subwoofers/12sho.html
JBL (my personal preference) - http://www.jblpro.com/catalog/genera...?PId=282&MId=5

    etc etc etc..
