    Default My mixes sound forced

I try and put out weekly mixes, but recently for the mix for this week, the transitions in the mix just sound so forced. I don't know why. I haven't really changed how I mix.

What can I do? Or is it just me?

I listen my mixes like 10 times before ı publish it and make changes on it all the time before ı publish.

Maybe they seem like forced, you should ask some people for that too.

It s not only you.Dont worry it happened me a lot times too.

Sometimes you just aren't in the groove at home, is all. Sometimes you got your mind on other things, it happens.

Unless you're getting tons of new promos that no one else is playing every week there's absolutely no reason to publish a mix weekly.

Yea no need to do a weekly mix like that. What I usually do is spend a little bit of time mixing every week, but dont make a big deal if its not perfect. after Im done mixing ill go back listen to the mix once and i its not perfect I move on with my life. But when Im gonna upload a mix ill listen to it a bunch of times before uploading and make sure everything sounds good. also usually I wait until I've picked up a bunch of songs that I really, really like to make a mix, if youre doing it weekly youre gonna end up playing some songs that are just okay so you dont really wanna mix them, thus it feels "forced" like you said

I guess you could say I'm making a bit of a portfolio

Just keep practicing, try new things and it will begin to come without thinking about it to much.

what do you mean by portfolio? you mean like demo mixtapes? because I dont really think anyones going to take the time to listen to multiple mixes as demos from one person, just my honest opinion

Sounds like you're just getting a little burnt out. I'd ditch the weekly mixes. You might wanna try to put one out monthly, or every other month.
