If you're mixing internally, traktor's recorder ought to work just fine. If you want to use audacity, just have it listen to the soundcard and take the sound off that (there should be a preference for input settings).

I figured I would use this thread instead of starting my own.
Can anyone help me out in regards to recording sound quality with Traktor.
Right now I can record into .wav format with no problem. The volume is still a little bit low, but I solve this by bumping up the gain a few notches in Audacity.
I would like to be able to convert the file to 320kbps mp3s, but when I do this the sound quality suffers...noticeably. Does anyone have a tutorial, guide, etc. on how to record the best sounding mix with Traktor in terms of quality?
Any help is greatly appreciated!
What are you using to convert it from a .wav to a .mp3? And how does it effect the sound exactly?
If you're on a Mac get some free software called "Switch" for converting your files. Wouldn't trust iTunes all that much to be honest.
And make sure you're getting a strong signal when recording as well.
Thanks. I will try it during my next recording session and post up.
i´m using switch and there is nothing to complain about. i get optimal results
