For that budget I'd get a Macbook Air. Amazing machine, SSD, weights less than some books.

And what if I do both?
I'm just 15 and the only way i earn money is santa & my parents.
I've been saving my money for 3 years to buy a kontrol s4, mf pro, Krokits, Sensheiser headphone...
So I don't want to waste my money, because it takes to long to get it. ;l
Btw, if I look to the specs from a regular pc and a mac then the mac prices are always mutch higher then the pc prices, is it worth that?

i use an hp envy 15. its great but the only problem with it is that sometimes it gets too hot and crashes. for gigs i simply put a laptop fan under it so that it doesnt crash. i have no problem doing that, haha, i would love a macbook if i can afford it though

Sounds and looks good (watching the specs right now).
But I don't like the thing about crashes, I had that with my last laptop too and I realy realy hated that. ;s
Did you got that from the first day you got that laptop?
