    That's Electro?
I remember spinning that record (always gaurunteed to make the dance floor go nuts) when it first came out. We weren't calling it Electro. Hell, "Electro" as a genre didn't even exist.
    Kick ass track though.

Started to question my definition too but it's in Discogs as Electro. My 12" is amazingly mint.

More tha just you, that IS Electro. This newer stuff is something else and not really similar at all. I'm shitty when it comes to sorting out the dozens (hundreds?) of EDM genre's but I know what Electro is and Aoki ain't playin it.

I still think calling these older (20+ years) tracks "Electro" is something that is a recent thing.
I remember when "Egypt, Egypt" came out. At the time some in the Los Angeles area where calling it "Techno-Hop".
At the time I just thought of it as "Electronic Hip-Hop". And some kids at a couple the local High Schools were even calling it "Black New Wave".

    But since we're crate digging:

Dj Bl3ND = electro house? I call it douchestep. You know, the fist pumping, jersey shore, pink popped collar stuff you hear at every top 40 bar that wants to play EDM.
