Default Need a suggestion for a midi controller

I'm looking for something that would be the equivalent to a 16 channel mixer plus an effects section and a master section.

Really loving this, but it doesn't have enough channels.

    Any suggestions?

if you want a 16 channel controller, you might want to look at getting 2 used ReMote SL zero's, together they would still cost less than the vestax you pictured, which is $600 or so, you could get 2 used SL zeros for probably about $400 total off of craigslist.

I was thinking that as well, but not enough knobs. I love the how each channel has it's own dedicated EQ section, pan knob, send knobs and the return/master section.

If it had an extra two channels I'd be sold!

Not sure all your requirements, but if portable is not a deciding factor. The Mackie Control is really nice. You can find older ones for really good price. They have excellent P&G motorized faders and the pots are really nice.

I was thinking those as well, but I'm not a fan of the layout. And mobility is a factor.

Maybe I'll just have to build my own

Yeah, what you're looking for basically needs to be built.

I use uc33e to mix. I've set it up so i have 4 decks on the first 4 sliders which all have 3 knobs above for hi, mid, low. Then i use the other knobs and sliders for effects, cue-ing etc. I'm using this together with the nano-pad. Works pretty good i have to say.
