Whats your IDEAL setup

yeah, I doubted a lot between the S4 and the VCI 400 EGE, but I have now a S4 because the VCI 400 EGE looks a bit unprofessional

Agreed. A lot of the fun is playing with toys…another big piece is realizing how similar I sound on different setups. They're easily 3 & 4 for me (behind music and a fun party).

For DJing:
Change out my Stanton turntables for pair of Pioneer CDJ's (1000MK3 or 2000) or Denon SC3900. I'm always cleaning my vinyl TT's so think I would move to cd. But if I stuck with vinyl, then move up to some Technics.

Other than that, I'm happy with my current: older MBP, Ecler NUO4, Traktor Kontrol X1 and F1.

For Production:
- list would be too long of current and future wants.

I'm all over that! 2x Technics 1210's, a mixer and a stack of deep n souful house and I'm a happy bunny! (But the new toys are nice to play with though!!!)

Ideally I'd have an A&H 92, 2 Technics and a stack of vinyl and nothing else, maybe an RMX-1000. more realistic set-up is a 92, 2 technics with an X1 and TSP2. cant afford all the vinyl I'd like, though planning on starting building my collection. maybe some CDJ's as well so i'd just have a full set-up.

for production I'd love an 808, 909, 303, Korg M1, maybe an Alesis Andromeda and a Monopoly. I'd quite like some out-board compressors and of course some monitors, maybe some Genelecs. Apogee Duet soundcard would be lovely too, and an APK61 to control my software, mainly because i really want something to play pads with for a more human feeling drum.

my current setup 2x 1200's, Rane 57, dicers & 13" mbp. would love to upgrade to a Rane 62, but have no need ATM.

studio: 23" cinema display, macmini + mbp 13", amxion 25, maschine + komplete + live, m-audio monitors.

its not about how much gear you have, its how well you use what you have.

Dream DJ setup,

4midiloop, Maschine Mikro and an F1. Obviously running on a laptop with an TP2.

Doesn't take much to make me happy ans still be able to perform the way I'd want to be able to.

And done. This is just for producing. Again, simple, efficient but high quality.
