Default Is a Technics SH-MZ1200 a good buy?

    Hello my fellow dj's.
I'm considering buying a new (never used) Technics SH-MZ1200 for 591 USD.
I'm don't do jobs (yet), so i think it's great for my purpose and will fulfill my needs.
Is it a good buy or are there better mixers at that price?

    Best regards,

No. I mean I have no first hand experience with that mixer but it doesn't sound like a great deal.

looks like one for $280 there and on ebay looking at completed listings none are selling

Not sure why you want one, it's long discontinued and there are plenty of more proven 4 channel mixers in that price range. Technics wasn't exactly known for making great digital products (look at the sl-dz1200s that went with this).

    Thanks for your reply
Well actually I just saw it at the lokal store and thought it might be an option, even though there aren't any reviews of it.
Got any suggestions for a more proven 4 channel mixer in that price range?

And yes I've seen the sl-dz1200s, they look horrible:-)

You can find used Xone: 92s for around $700 on ebay.

Other than that look at various vestax 4 channel mixers.

I live in Europe, so it's a bit more expensive here:-(
But I will keep an eye open for a used Xone: 92 or Vestax PMC-280 :-)
    Thanks for the help!

a lot of people seem to like the behringer ddm4000 for this price as well. i guess it just depends on if you want it to be midi capable or not. i'm sure the build quality of the denon will be better than the ddm4000 though. if you want both and can spend a little more you can pick up the denon x1600 either used or new for about ~$850 from places like musiciansfriend.com

It doesn't need to be midi capable, I just bought Traktor Scratch Pro 2, so that's not really something I'm looking for in a mixer
I've got an offer, on a Vestax PMC-280 for 150 Euro. It seems like a good price, but after reading the review on DJ-WORX, I feel like I should throw that offer away as quick as possible!
Anyone got experience with the mixer?
I've also got an offer on a Allen & Heath Xone: 42, BUT it's in a whole other price range.

Lastly I've been looking at the Denon dn-x1500, because it isn't to expensive on Ebay Should I go for DN-X1500 or go for the DN-X1100 instead?
Thanks for the help so far guys!

Oh and I've also looked at the DDM4000 but it just got a confusing layout, and i would like to do some scratching with the mixer too, and it doesn't seem like the DDM4000 can do that...
