    Default What mic should i use for a radio show?

    OK me and my friend are looking to starting up a podcast/radio show

    just wondering do we need to spend big on a microphone? or can anyone recommend a good one?

    I used to work on a few pirate radio stations and a SM58/57 alongside a coat hanger with a pair of tights stretched in front to the mic worked just great .. (ah those were the days).

    In other news .. I got one of these for my sister and it sounds great for her home studio stuff and they are pretty cheap (they also do a pocast bundle with pop shield/stand/clips etc for 88 euro)
