i got my federal income tax return in the mail the other day.

i opened the envelope and read the satisfying amount with gentlemanly composure.

not a single thought passed between this and me saying aloud to myself,

"okay, i'm getting the otus this week."

it wasn't until fifteen minutes later that i really grasped the compromise involved in that instinctive response to seeing a reasonable sum of money with my name on the check.

"perhaps i can get started on that very urgent and pressing debt of mine with the change left over."

this was a passing thought which immediately drifted away to haunt my conscience some other day.

there is no way i'm admitting to any addiction. hah. satisfaction now. reckoning comes later.

seriously guys its not that bad, I don't even really like DJ gear. Maybe I do when I've had a drink or four, but who doesn't? Plus, I used to hang round with a bad crowd, I don't see them anymore....it's cool, I promise, you don't need to chop up my cards.
