Default DJ Gear Purchase (Making the right Decision)

After all this situation with Deadmau5 and his interview with Rolling Stones about certain DJ that just play the button and nothing more, I said to myself, "well they say that honesty is your best policy". Maybe he wasn't in a good mood when he said it, but whats done is done. Then came AVB with professionalism ans carisma and said what needed to be done in order to become a great DJ/Musician.

So I decided to take the digital side of DJing and put it on hold for a few and try to get out of that comfort zone and try CDJ's, Mixers and Turntables. People may think "why", but I think its better when you have control and you show your true talent of blending and mixing great sounds. Van Buuren's interview gave me that motivation, now Im in pursuit of a set that is reasonable and doesnt hurt my budget. For mixers I got this options: http://www.americanmusical.com/Item--i-ALL-XONE22-LIST, http://www.americanmusical.com/Item--i-PIO-DJM250X-LIST, CD PLayers: http://www.americanmusical.com/Item--i-GEM-CDJ700-LIST.

Of course a pair of monitors, but for that I'll wait on your feedback. I know that there is a TON of talents out there yet to be discovered, great producers, remixers and performers, so the feedback should be good. Thx

No it's not. You've already given more mind to the people that will complain if you go digital than they deserve.

Do whatever you want - but don't justify it to anyone but yourself. CDJ's and a mixer are nice, but you don't have to prove anything to anyone. Get whatever gear you like.

I agree, it's really the output that counts rather than what gear you have on-stage. Spend more time making yourself unique as AVB said over and over again in the interview.

I want to give you some advice, but a little more info on your situation would be useful. Like what kind of budget do you have, what music do you play?

The American Audio QD5 is also a good (budget) scratch mixer.
