Default Whats it like to use a Xone 4D with Traktor Pro 2 ?

Was looking up the Xone 4D used as a midi controller.

What makes it better than lets say a S4 or VCI 400 in the instances as follows ?

Would it have better sound as in EQ and general quality.

    FX control and feel?

    Looping?

    4 Deck Control?

Whats the Xone 4Ds competition like and who ? Pioneer, Numark, Denon etc.

My style of mixing, looping with EQs, hot cueing and a bit of FX thrown on top not so much to destroy the music being played.

At one point a 4d was one of the best options for traktor pro but not sure anymore. It is a bit older so the midi side of it and buttons are not as great comparred to what's out there now with responsive backlit buttons available. Also the jogs are a waste of space and only good for loading tracks. I loved my 4d when i had it but once x1s came out I wanted to just chop the sides off and use the x1s there since they feel much better.

The mixer itself is incredile. Feels amazing, analog xone filters, sounds great. Scratch certified soundcard. The midi department is just a bit lacking comparred to the feel of something like an x1. If the 4d hasn't been discontinued yet I have a feeling they may be soon. Db4/db2 with k2s via xlink will probably fill that roll.

    Thanks for the reply Xonetacular

Yeah they seemed pretty pointless, made it look cheap I think a lil, even though its not :P

Im all midi so I guess I am going to steer clear of it so.

I checked out the db4 looks really cool, lots of features :S Just the price

I bedroom DJ as you guys call it, and have been looking for something with better sounding EQs, sound card, fx control etc than my Mixtrack Pro.

Or maybe I need some bass bins to go with my tops lol
