    Default mysterious marker

...howdy, was trying out the warping in Live8 when i noticed i get this cube marker (at 17 in the pic) along with the pointy ones i create...seems that the cube one is created by ableton by default, but i was wondering if it could be created anytime so that u could use it as a cue point or something...

isnt that your starting point marker on loops, I'm on 6 but I get warp markers and loop markers and start/stop markers so that you can play an intro into your loops, is that what those markers are?

nop that aint my loops starting points, they just happen to be there

got the answer, the cube lookin marker is what ableton (version 8) creates by default & u can get it by picking any of the "warp from..." in the drop down menu...the markers you create by clicking on transients appear as pointy ones
