Was wondering, been hearing a lot of new tracks sounding like older tracks.. or from different genres..

I'm a gossip whore and see a lot of suing about artists stealing beats.

How does the legal system decide whether a track was copied or not?

My most recent spotting was this track..
First time I heard it, I recognized the beat from a very well known band, can you?

Coldplay. Yes you can make music that sounds like Coldplay. There are no chord progressions left at all.
