    Default Midi FX Guitar

This is still a work in progress, so no finished pictures yet, but I thought y'all might be interested in the working drawings anyway.

Basically we've taken an old electric guitar body, used a router to cut an MF Pro sized hole in the middle and a small sheet of acrylic to the back to run the wires too. At the edge of the guitar there is 2 female/female USB adaptors so the wires remain internal, but the MF itself can be removed from the front.

Currently in the process of reattaching the neck to the back of the body to allow space to attach a small Akai keyboard to it and then run the wires back to the other female/female USB.

The idea is to be more mobile and have a larger performance aspect to a set. A lot of the places I play I am on a stage and it has always been a bit awkward just standing still.

I'll post more pictures as we go, but let me know what you all think!

I can't decide if this is really awesome, or really really lame... but I'm leaning in your favor.

It would be perfect for that "plooping" effect that nobody should ever do ever.

If your going to ruin music with effects you may as well do it in style I guess! here is a photoshop mockup...

It would all be mapped to effects, the 3 sliders would ideally be spring loaded toward the center and on a slight angle so you get the action of strumming strings. Matt Bellamy style kaoss pad, midifighter 3d, led pots from the novation nocturn for eq volume and loop size. On the neck you would cannibalize the midifighters shift buttons and use 3 6 inch touch strips so you can use both hands. You could probably make a shift to activate the 3d's accelerometers but I wouldn't suggest they stay on. Then use VDJ8 to run it cause traktor is too limited!
