Default [Production] - New Breaks Track - [Gravity (128bpm)]

    Hey all!

    I've just posted a new track up - http://soundcloud.com/48k/gravity-3

It's a breaks track and the first thing I've made in over two years, it's not quite finished but i'm not sure what else it needs so I'm gonna leave it for a while and start another one..

If any of you can take a few mins out to have a listen, i'd really love some opinions / criticisms / suggestions for it!

    Thanks and enjoy

Going to see Meat katie in a few weeks and if he played this id think "yeah ill ave a bit of this"

You say theres something missing ? maybe just a few bleeps at the end of each 8 bars or so, its pretty much on a level in the main sections which i like cus the saw builds up which (i have to say a like a bit of saw teehee) but yeah does need something to pop up every now and again.
The bass line at the end of each phrase could be louder cus its a really nice rolling bassline.

Sounds fucking great at full welly on my system. Production is spot on. Not the usual over processed EQd to fuck stuff that i hear

I think its pretty fucking good pal and im not a huge breaks fan.
First track in 2 years ??? Why did you stop, keep going man.

    Props

Thanks man, glad you like it! I had to have a break due to a couple of big projects I had going on at work, they kinda zapped all my creativity for a while :P

Back on it now though and lovin' it :-)

Anyone else had a listen and got any thoughts?

    hi there

yeah i really like your beat patterns, it keeps rolling along nicely.

just a question, what is mastering like in Logic? do you have a VST or does it come with something by default? I am using Reason atm but all my tracks sound very Reasony if you know what i mean

I use Ozone 4 for mastering, it's the business! Have you got any of your tracks up anywhere?

    Just having a listen....
Beats sound solid, nice use of fx to build the track.
Think you could do more with the bass sound, either layer a few diff sounds playing the same riff or program a few variations into the pattern perhaps.
Def needs a break in the riff at some point, even if it's just 8 bars or so somewhere!

Overall though theres a nice groove to it, pretty good going for your 3rd track - keep at it!
