They should include a price for you in press releases. Or like on Amazon, instead of comparing the price to retail, put what you pay and call it "Lol look what Jester has to pay."

I was accidently creating another thread. Sorry for that.
Here's what I intended to write:

With Pioneer having just announced the XDJ Aero there is one more controller in the game.
The XDJ Aero's key features are being a midi- and HID-controller (for DJ software) while having integrated a two channel stand-alone mixer and media player (which means the whole unit is able to run stand-alone as well) and the very special function of being able to stream music from your Iphone via WiFi. No cables needed.

But the question is: Will any serious DJ ever make use of this function? I mean everywhere DJing is a serious business DJs normally tend to deactivate WiFi and want to be able to rely on their system. Even with physical cables there are enough sources for problems. So why to add another?

While looking similar to the DDJ Ergo V in most points (a bit toyish in my opinion) the XDJ Aero is tagged with a US$1399/£869/€999 price tag. In my opinion it's hard to justify that price due to the fact that it's only a two-channel mixer and due to its rather unprofessional look. The feature list makes me feeling it's targeted at the group of bedroom DJs but will these people really spend this amount of money for a XDJ Aero?
I think people will rather keep buying S4, VCI 400, DDJ-1 and so on but what's your opinion?
Is this piece of gear exactly what the whole world has been looking for for so long?

I think for a long time people will be misquoting it and saying that it is a controller don't get annoyed at them for it

It's a massive difference. It's like calling a CDJ a controller just because it has a soundcard and interface.

I think the issue with wifi is when you are not connected to a network and you have wifi on it will look for a new network every few minutes taking up valuable resources... If your connected to a network already there is no need to reconnect so you probably wont have the same issues. *I'm just thinking out aloud & don't know the facts to support this*

I don't particularly like this but the next cdj will be something to talk about with wifi connectivity making changeovers seamless.

I mentionned it as a stand-alone mixer (not just a "controller") but fixed it now anyway.

People saying it looks toyish but i actually think at a glance it looks more pro than an s2.

I got an S2 and like it but I think this genuinely "looks" like a better bit of kit. definitely punters would say it looks more pro.

If they'd gone with CDJ2000 style looking jogs that'd have been the icing on the cake.

Controller is not a dirty work.

I use the term to describe an all in one mixer and jog device. A CDJ isn't exactly a controller because it doesn't control all the functions of 2/4 decks and mixer set up.

    But these are just semantics
