how do you map a button to automatically adjust a parameter of an effect after a certain amount of time , ie eans new mf3d mappings?

Which effect do you mean? Like in this video at 39 seconds, where effects like transpose stretch kick in as the "super combo" to the beat masher?

that and just how some of the others simply roll the parameters in or out after a few beats like you normally would using a knob
Ok, Ean is using the "auto repeat" setting, which you can set when you map a knob control (like the effect amount) as a button, with a decrementing (Dec) or incrementing (Inc) "Interaction Mode". This is also a place where NI could enhance the mapping system with a beat timing value for the auto repeat. Like the auto repeat trigger hitting every 1/16th , 1/8th, 1/4 ,1 , 4 or 8 beats. That would be cool.

Not out of the box but a simple program like Loopbe1 allows to create an output signal you can use to create a system of modifiers representing the beats passing within a phrase or any other defined length and map commands depending on the current counting (Traktor interpreting its own messages). It's the same trick you use to create auto-loop rolls within Traktor for example. At a single press of one button with one finger you can launch a cascading flow of events that no hands are able to reproduce unless you get an extra pair.
That's not something I really like as I have basic fears for too much automation, but that's still something possible.

There’s also an almost hermetic community that exists in many areas of dance music, where serious hobbyists feed off each other’s expertise but barely connect to the industry – despite many of those involved actually working in it.
Thanks Yul, but I hope NI will come up with their own better automation for mapping, which they said they are ready to attack. I'll wait for them, as I simply don't have the time to experiment with great suggestions like the one you just gave me. I wish I did.
