Nice, but I absolutely hate having the laptop directly in front of me.

Yeah, I hate it too. I use Rekordbox and either leave it under the stand or leave lid down and keep it in the middle. The beauty is you can keep your laptop under the CDJ since they're elevated. Keep the middle platform for controller or 3rd CDJ. Many options open up. Thanks for the feedback

I hope the idea of these is for clubs or hire companies to buy them to complement their setups as opposed to being bought by club DJ's to bring with them... unless im mistaking something they:

    1. Don't fold which makes them impractical for a gig bag
    2. Weigh a ton - with the bigger one @ over 7 kilos, smaller @ over 2 kilos

I guess I just see them as a very VERY bulky solution to a problem that rarely exists.

I see these as a permanent club install, not something you bring with you.

Yeah, dropping $200 for a stand that isn't even that functional.. I'd rather just move the CDJ a few centimeters and saving some cash.

I like them! I mean, their applications are limited, but these are the first stands I've seen that directly address the "controllers in a club standard booth" issue. if you're truly invested in your midi controllers and your laptop, having a couple of stands just to go over the cdj's is a fine idea! A little rich for my taste, but they are nice looking stands none the less.

It's a GREAT idea, stands meant to go over CDJs. But these are a joke. $200? I'd have said they were pricey if they came in at $60.
Plus they're pretty badly designed. Can you imagine using that SIX HUNDRED DOLLAR one? Imagine how much those would bounce with every button press.

And even the ones that make more sense are $200... I could make these in a machine shop with $30 worth of aluminum.
