Because of a design fault i can't take mine appart to paint
they soldered the upper right button to the board)

had the same problem. broke the button in the process. but you can simply desolder it

Going to paint it white, the top sheet is made out of pcv I think and case itself is made out of steel or some sort of tough metal.
