You can create a track using software alone, hardware alone, or a mix of hardware and software.
When one of those producers is playing their own tracks live, there's a performance aspect to it, so even if a song was made entirely in software they have to do something on stage. Or at least pretend to, lol.
@thefallen Music production and mixing (dj set) are two separate things, you are mixing them up.
