    Default Loop Marker Forward

So I have been thinking about this for a while, Im not sure if everyone is familiar with a technique that Alex Kidd uses in various songs. Basically it it takes a vocal sample and and then almost makes a synth out of it by cutting to the last syllable. Kind of like "give us the money sho...aww..aww..aww.aww" as taken from Money Shot by Dark by Design and Alex kidd. (Probably really easy to do in studio, but tough live)

So basically what I am trying to do is mess around with traktor so that when you take a loop, and you shorten it, it doesnt move the latter marker back, but rather the former marker forward. Then mix that in with a bit of a gater, and you would have in essence a single note synth.

This probably makes little sense without a good example... which I just found.

Try Loop Move Start Up, set to Next.

I do this all the time actually, if you make a loop small enough if kinda acts like an oscillator which you can do all sorts of fun things with from there

    Edit:

oh its not a loop move command hes after either, You gotta set the loop mode to Loop out, the loop size to loop then hit next to get it to halve every button press.

I can get the exact midi mappings if you need help with that.

But if he wants to move the Loop In point then why would it be Loop Out?

sorry for a bit OT, but can you give some insight in the fun you're doing? i guess pitchbending, slowing down/turning up a very short loop or getting some effects on top or is there more
    thx

Thanks for the replies guys, I will give this a shot based on your suggestions. Another way I was thinking of taking it is maybe just having a 1/8 loop drop with a gater enabled, both to occur simultaneously with a single button push.

I will see where this goes and hopefully posed some results...
