It should work. From what I've gathered, it's a feature that you either turn on or off, like cross-fade curve.

Works. As Bmo said, it's a software option, not a mapping trick.

For those unfamiliar with FX routing, it should be pointed out that although it is a software option and not a mapping trick (so it should work with any midi controller that lets you control FX and line volume)...this only works for "Internal Mixing".

Are 'full kill eqs' the Z based ones?
