Default VCI Jog Wheel bass exposure fixes

OK - So my friend who is the DJ at our most important hotel disco/club, came home and fell in love with the VCI-100 after playing with it, etc.

So he gave me the opportunity of being an invited DJ last night at the club.
I had my gear ready in no time... and at peak time, he announced the "invited DJ" of the night...

I started with some nice intros... and then.. when the tight, deep bass started... it was chaos! The bass had my music start to jump, Pitch getting off, couldn't sync, etc.

Lucky for me.. we always have the second set of Pioneer's ready just in case...
so I quickly enabled a freeze effect.. and hit "play" in the CDJ.

I know and have read about the bass issue with the VCI, I also turned the plates off, etc. Question arises... what have you done to prevent this? (Besides turning off the plates) If I get the VCI in a cushioned flight-case..can I prevent this? Any other suggestions?

Ean talks about setting the VCI on top of a pad of foam on top of the decks. Not only does this protect the decks from getting damaged by your equipment, it has the side effect of insulating your controller from vibration.

I had the same problem with my vci....I put the sucker in a ata style case (marathon) and problem solved! Where i play they have 8 bass bottoms and they are about 5 feet away.

You NEED the foam padding when you're playing. Absolutely essential.

Thanks for the tips guys! I am on my way to pick one in the next few minutes.
I have never been so embarrassed in my life!

JesC - My friend notified me the disco/club has 8 dual subs! I really had no idea... since even though it is a large club, I see no reason to those.. and I only saw 4 of them.

    P.D - VCI+ATA Flight case = Revenge!!!! lol

Wait, could someone explain this problem? The vibration does what to the VCI?
