    Default buying SLR Camera

Looking to buy a SLR digital Camera tommorow. Im looking to spend up to $1000... Im not using it in any proffesional capacity, just taking everyday photos. Im thinking something on the smaleer side for SLR's and the ability to change lenses/zoom.

    Reccomendations?

I have a Nikon D3100 and think for the size and money its fantastic. Even for video, the quality is stunning. Im a broadcast engineer during the day so wasnt expecting anything that good, but was pleasantly surprised

Here. Kinda the best of both worlds.

Or look around for other mirrorless system cameras since they're small and image quality is superb.

+1 on the mirrorless cameras. I've been really impressed with some of the ones coming out recently.

Also keep in mind that your lens makes the majority of the difference, so don't spend the majority of your budget on the Camera body. What kind of lighting will you be shooting in?
