I can find a pair of in-box cdj700s+ in-box NOX606 mixer for $800..
I was previously thinking about buying a Z2, but I've never owned CDJs.
Would this setup translate well for beatmatching and practice to a typical club setup??

Thats a great price. There is a review of the cdj700 here-----> http://djworx.com/review-gemini-cdj-700-media-player/
It will serve perfectly for what you want and all of the basic controls translate perfectly to using pioneer cdj's. If I had access to that deal I'd take it for the CDJ's alone.
The bonus for you is that you also get the Nox 606. I love that mixer. IMO the sound card is brilliant. The pots etc have a bit of a plastic feel but thats meh if you ask me. I was close to buying this mixer myself before I found an amazing deal on my pioneer and if i was in the market for a home mixer again I wouldnt think twice before buying the Nox 606.
Go for it man.

be careful with the CDJ700s reference...Pioneer used to do a CDJ700S in the late 90s, it was known as the CDJ500S in the rest of the world

Traktor Scratch Pro 2.7, MBP 13", iPad 2 & TouchOSC, Reloop NEON, Pioneer DJM750mk2, Mackie d.2, Pioneer CDJ800 x2, Technics SL1210MK2 x2, NI Audio 6 DJ, Dicers,
So they were for sure the Gemini CDJ-700s with the NOX606 mixer.
I did some quick practice on everything and updated the firmware on the CDJs.
Will be posting personal review of everything soon.
Initial impressions:
CDJ-700- Lots of plastic, but I'm not scared of the build quality since its gonna be my home setup. Heavy jog wheel compared to Pioneer CDJ, yes but I'm not planning on learning to scratch on these.
NOX606- Ok sounding headphone jack.. gets loud. Filters are barely useful, still haven't checked the main output sound.
