Default DJ-style effect VSTs - anybody know some?

    Hey guys

Just wondering if anybody knows of any DJ oriented VSTs out there - I ask as I'm a complete production noob, and I would like to work with a simpler interface with less controls. (ie I want something simple!)

I know NI do a Traktor's 12 or something similar, but I was wondering if anybody knew of any (preferably free) VSTs like a filter, flanger or a quantised delay?

Also, this is not for production, but for mixes.

    Cheers!

Not a VST, but some FX racks put together by Tarekith.

    Cheers Chris

I'm just asking as I'm hoping to use them in some software called Mixmeister, which is basically a mixtape/mash-up DAW, no where near as complicated as Ableton or Logic. As I'm a DAW & production noob, I've got no idea how to create DJ style effects from studio VSTs.

You're right that Logic, Ableton, or any DAW can make those DJ effects sounds using native functions. You're meaning like white noise fills, reverb, and things like that right?

Mostly I'm after some simple to use effects. Example is Traktor's group effects, there are two controls - wet/dry and parameter. Something like that would be great of all the major effects like flanger, delay, roll, filter etc etc.

I know NI sell Traktors effects as a VST but I'm wondering if there's any free alternatives out there.

Google free VST's and you'll get all kinds of results.

Jezalenko, you can check this real-time DJ effect software. It was made specifically for DJs and live performance, and not for production.

Cheers mate, the program looks good but it's standalone - I'm after a VST so I can use the automation the DAW has.

    Thanks anyway!
