Hi, as long as you're mapping encoder-relative message it should work normally.

    Post Joris Voorn Effects

    Hey Stewe,

I am a big fan of Joris Voorn, and i was wondering what effects did he use.

It seem he uses 2 main effects. One of them seems like a Tape Delay set in to Single effect mode linked to a regular tape delay. The other effect he uses mostly when making transitions (the second botton from right to left on top of the faders). The first botton on top of the faders doesnt seem to make anything, but he always uses. Can u help me out identify which effects are?

U can see him using all of them @ 38:18 and 11:53

    Thanks in advance!

My guess is that he uses one Tape Delay and two Reverbs. Last button seems not doing much when it's activated but leaves nice Reverb tail when deactivated.

    4 Button Ramp Delay

This button combo is variation to rattle snake effect that Dubfire often uses in sets. It's pretty cool for making transitions between tracks or for spicing up tracks on the fly.

Make sure to set FX Unit in to single effect mode

    Button 1:
    Unit On = hold
    Button 2 = 0
    Button 3 = 1
    D/W = 0.550
    Knob 1 = 0.700
    Knob 2 = 0.350
    Knob 3 = 0.500

    Button 2:
    Unit On = hold
    Button 2 = 0
    Button 3 = 1
    D/W = 0.550
    Knob 1 = 0.700
    Knob 2 = 0.350
    Knob 3 = 0.650

    Button 3:
    Unit On = hold
    Button 2 = 0
    Button 3 = 1
    D/W = 0.550
    Knob 1 = 0.700
    Knob 2 = 0.350
    Knob 3 = 0.800

    Button 4:
    Unit On = hold
    Button 2 = 0
    Button 3 = 1
    D/W = 0.550
    Knob 1 = 0.700
    Knob 2 = 0.350
    Knob 3 = 0.950

    Hi Stewe,

I absolutely love the 4 button ramp delay and I'd like to use it during my sets. However, I've been trying to get the 4 button Ramp delay working for a week or 2 now, but I just can't come close to the effect in the video. I've got a couple of questions and I was wondering if you could help me out.

    1. 1. This post is quite old. Is the mapping different for Traktor 2.11.3? I'm using a Xone K2 btw.
    2. 2. In the video, what did you map to the knob on the Behringer controller? Speed? Dry/Wet?
    3. 3. Below the mappings of the 4 knobs you provide ' Instant Gratificaction Values'. Are these part of the 4 button Ramp delay? Or is this a different effects? Not sure if this was related.
    4. 4. In what sense does it matter which track you are playing on the effect itself. Do I need a hihat or snare to achieve this result?

    Thanks so much in advance.

    Cheers,
    Dave

    (1) The mapping parameters are still relevant.

    (2) It is mapped to LP/HP Filter (channel filter)

    (3) Use only this parameter values:

    Button 1:
    Unit On = hold
    Button 2 = 0
    Button 3 = 1
    D/W = 0.550
    Knob 1 = 0.700
    Knob 2 = 0.350
    Knob 3 = 0.500

    Button 2:
    Unit On = hold
    Button 2 = 0
    Button 3 = 1
    D/W = 0.550
    Knob 1 = 0.700
    Knob 2 = 0.350
    Knob 3 = 0.650

    Button 3:
    Unit On = hold
    Button 2 = 0
    Button 3 = 1
    D/W = 0.550
    Knob 1 = 0.700
    Knob 2 = 0.350
    Knob 3 = 0.800

    Button 4:
    Unit On = hold
    Button 2 = 0
    Button 3 = 1
    D/W = 0.550
    Knob 1 = 0.700
    Knob 2 = 0.350
    Knob 3 = 0.950

    (4) Yup works best with hats and snares.

I'll play around some more and see what I'll can do about it.

Try switching up the mapping to Tape Delay effect. It produces more feedback with similar effect.

Yes, tried that with the mappings you shared earlier in this thread. Works great! Love the tape delay, thanks for sharing that. Especially with a separate button mapped for feedback so you can modulate the duration of the effect .

The tape delay does have quite of a heavy attack when hitting the button. Is there a way to balance this more with the volume of the track? Tried adjusting it with several filters, dry/wet, but not fully how I like it.. Any suggestions?
