    Don't have another system to test on but I've just started beatmaching in the headphones so that sorts out the delay problem. I always thought djays beat matched with 1 track playing out the main speakers and the other track in the headphones, but its fine doing both in the headphones.

    Like I said, depends on the situation....also some DJ's dont like Mixing in headphones.

    My main outputs are going through an entry level Samsung 5.1 Home theater system set to stereo mode
    Sounds like some sort of processing on your home theatre amp to me
    99.9% sounds like this is the problem .. Some home theatre systems have the option of turning off the EQ or DSP Effects or going "direct" some don't though at which stage you are quite possibly out of luck with it.

    I tried playing my dj rig through my home theater receiver and got all kinds of latency.

    It's your receiver. I'd bet my balls.
