    Default EQ curve in S4

Can anyone, tell me why the curve of the EQ's in the S4 is not subtil at all ? Is it because of the soundcard?

no mather what preset you chose ( classic, p600, Nuo, Zone ).There is alway's at the lowest 10% off the volume that stay there when you mix.I find it very difficult to make a perfect transition or mash-up.
Let's say it's difficult to isolate the EQ's. I have map killer button for my EQ's on my nanokontrol but that make a gap and more buttons to push betwen nano and the S4.

I just don't understand. We are passionate people that play's with sound and some time at hi volume!
I come these EQ's are so ordinary when they could be much better.
I'm I the only one that think's that!

I love my S4 but for that I would give it a 7/10

I have a vestax pmc250 at home and I love the EQ's on this mixer. If you have a chance some day to mix with the pmc250 you would know what I'M thalking about.
I did call NI and I write a letter to Ni on this subject. It's in the basket, probably not for that Christmas.

One thing i could say, is that i have a lot of effect's that I could put, so nobody could hear what's playing in the back!

Mastering is a big part of are passion...

If you have any suggestion i would be very happy.

Try upgrading to 2.6 and using the Pioneer DJM 800 emulated settings P800. These are by far my favorite!

    Well, well,well.
It's chistmas before time...Thank's again Scott
That's a great improvement on the EQ's, a better curve for sure.
I have to play more and record before I put a new score for my S4,
but ithink it is going to be close to a 9/10.

Also try the Z2 mode - I believe they added full kills to it.

Man, just upgraded to Traktor 2.6 and am trying out the Z ISO eq with full kills...what a MASSIVE improvement!! I was using the NUO mixer before (for no reason in particular) but could always hear 'some' bass coming through when turned right down...now there is no conflict, even with really bassy tracks, and transitions are much cleaner. SUPERB!
