Quick kontrol s2 question

Hey guys I have a Kontrol S2 and I was wondering if I could either map an x1 to be the "missing links between the s2 and s4" such as kontrol over the c&d decks and better effects. If I was able to do this I was wondering what I could do about the crossfader'ing between decks a/b and c/d

Hi buddy, you can mp the x1 as you described, the crossfading, you can assign the the crossfader however you like, map it to some controls on the x1 and crossfade everywhere

O you use a setup like I could use
Do you have a DJ app on the IPAD? Does it control the S2/ visa versa?
If I get a maschine should I save up for the new one? The only reason I would is if the old one didnt come with massive.

Right now I have a TMA-1 beatport edition an S2 a macbook pro a launchpad

I have the original Maschine and they gave me the free Massive download. I did have to email them to request the code though. As far as I can tell, the only real difference is the pretty lights on the MKII. And about $200.

Massive is free to all maschine owners, as you long as the software is registered and activated you get your own copy of massive. Mk1 owners included. I did type in a reply last night but didnt post as it made me look like I didnt want a mk2, id love one, but the mk1 I already have does everything the mk2 does except the colours. Colours wont help my music some talent would. Now if the mk3 includes more talent, Il definitely need to get one
